Battle Comp Enterprises, LLC is a veteran-owned small business: Central Contractors Registry (CCR) CAGE #6HN52; ITAR Registration #M30561, and Dun & Bradstreet DNB #963677252.
Founder and CEO E. Alan Normandy is a 27-year police veteran, SWAT Team plank owner and retired Chief Firearms Instructor currently assigned as a Patrol Lieutenant and Watch Commander. The BattleComp was developed jointly with a dear friend who is an expert in fluid dynamics.
The BattleComp was originally intended for CQB and works particularly well for Patrol Officers responding to Active Killer Incidents; as it allows police partners to deploy their patrol rifles side-by-side, and improves their rate of accurate fire without the crushing blast and concussion common to most muzzle brakes.
Buck Mossie is a former United States Marine, and currently is a Detective Sergeant with 16 years of active duty service on a large Southern California police agency. Buck is a veteran trainer with decades of experience and the inventor of the Mossie Midnight Mount. More about Sgt. Buck Mossie can be found at www.mossietactics.com
Made exclusively by BattleComp for Mossie Tactics, the Mossie Midnight Mount (MT2400FSB) is the only lightweight and affordable "12 o'clock" light platform which mounts directly to the Front Sight Base of an AR15; without altering the host weapon or requiring railed handguards for attachment. The MMM mitigates civil liability by illuminating, identifying and acquiring of suspects, and it less than 1-minute installation complies with Police Department armorer policies. The patented, Enhanced Universal Slot is intended to allow a Patrol officer the ability to transition a weaponlight from pistol to rifle -- and back again -- without changing ANY parts.
The latest Mossie Midnight Mount, the MT2400TRN, mates with the Troy Folding Front Sight for use on railed handguards, commonly used by tactical units.
Both the BattleComp and Mossie Midnight Mount were originally "Made by cops for cops." While specifically designed to address real-world problems police officers encounter -- BCs and MMMs are now used by military and law enforcement personnel, as well as competition shooters and defense-minded civilians all over the world.
Non-jacketed, sintered metal frangible ammuntion is discouraged for use with BattleComp products. There is no risk to safety, but any damage to the BattleComp will not be warrantied. This sintered metal frangible ammunition can come apart before exiting the barrel, which could result in a damaged BattleComp.
Jacketed MilSpec 62-grain frangible ammunition and UTM ammo work well.
Lightweight marking rounds CAN easily become lodged in barrels for a number of reasons.
Users choosing to use these rounds with BattleComp products assume all risk associated with such choices. NO ONE has ever been injured by using a BattleComp product, and we want to keep it that way.

The reviews are near-unanimous: The BattleComp is one of the world’s finest TACTICAL compensators.
The BattleComp offers muzzle control like some of the best brakes on the market, with none of their liabilities.
The BattleComp is a true tactical compensator specifically designed for military and law enforcement personnel who use the AR15 platform for CQB. The BattleComp has no negative effect of precision marksmanship and the increase in muzzle stability allows the user the ability to see rounds hit while looking through the scope.
The BattleComp gives the end user excellent muzzle control WITHOUT the excessive concussion and crushing blast produced by most compensators on the market — with flash comparable to an A2 — and all in an A2-sized package.
